As a young girl I loved collecting stamps from all over the world...yes...I was a philatelist! I have created this glass tile pendant from a Canadian postage stamp depicting Northern Dancer, (May 27, 1961 – November 16, 1990) a Canadian-bred Thoroughbred racehorse and the most successful sire of the 20th Century. The National Thoroughbred Racing Association calls him "one of the most influential sires in Thoroughbred history". This stamp was part of the "Canadian Horses" series, issued in 1999. The stamp is mounted beneath a piece of clear glass which measures 1 1/4" x 1", and hangs from a 24" silvertone ball chain necklace. The length of the necklace can be shortened at no charge at time of purchase.
