This beautiful black and copper lampwork necklace is lovingly handmade
by me, Gillian Soskin, in my home glass studio using Moretti glass and
copper powder.
This round, lentil-shaped lampwork focal bead
measures 20mm in diameter and is 10mm thick. I made it with a black
base, then rolled it in copper powder, then encased it in gold
filigrana glass to magnify the effect. So beautiful!
I have accented it with copper rounds and a copper Celtic trefoil. It is strung on a 2mm diameter black leather braided cord.
The necklace measures 18 " (not including the pendant) and closes with a
silver lobster clasp. I have added a 2" chain extender for added
comfort if needed.
All
my beads go directly from the torch to kiln for controlled annealing. All beads
are inspected for flaws and thoroughly cleaned for you.
I am a self-representing glass artist (SRA # S107) which means that my beads
are individually made, by me, and not mass produced. I am also a member of the
International Society of Glass Beadmakers. |
