This gorgeous lime green lampwork glass bead is lovingly handmade by me,
Gillian Soskin, in my home glass studio using a transparent apple green
frit drizzled in fine silver.
I have cored this bead with
sterling silver tubing...the silver goes all the way through the bead
and gives it extra shine! The coring is done by hand...cutting the
silver tubing to size, annealing it, and using a set of graduated
dapping punches to form the "lip" on each side. Each bead takes about
one hour to core by hand.
This big hole glass bead measures 16 x
8mm, and will fit Pandora, Biagi, or Troll bracelets. The bracelet
pictured is Pandora sized but is not included with the bead. It also
looks gorgeous on a silver chain!
All my beads go directly from
the torch to kiln for controlled annealing. All beads are inspected for
flaws and thoroughly cleaned for you.
I am a self-representing
glass artist (SRA # S107) which means that my beads are individually
made, by me, and not mass produced. I am also a member of the
International Society of Glass Beadmakers. |
