Tree of Knowledge...Handmade Lampwork Glass Focal Bead
This beautiful lampwork focal bead is made lovingly by me, Gillian Soskin, in my home glass studio in London, Ontario, Canada. I have used German Lauscha glass, with enamels, as raised decoration. The trunk and branches are a combination of oranges and blues, giving a lustrous chestnut brown with hints of brilliant blue. This large focal bead measures 24 x 28 x 11mm in size and is made on a 3/32" mandrel. The bead hole measures 2.4mm in diameter. All my beads go directly from the torch to kiln for controlled annealing. All beads are inspected for flaws and thoroughly cleaned for you. I am a self-representing glass artist (SRA # S107) which means that my beads are individually made, by me, and not mass produced. I am also a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers.
