| Every once in a while I make something that I really think I can't part
with, then I realize what I love is when someone else can get joy and
happiness out of something that I've made. ...so I've decided to part with this heart... This beautiful necklace is made with semi-precious gemstones, beautiful crystals, and all sterling silver components. To
accent the 8mm genuine jadeite rounds, I beaded a "frame" for each of
matching sage green and pink delica beads using fine sterling silver
wire. I then added 8mm pink faceted Czech crystal firepolished beads,
and hand-linked them together. The sterling silver open-loop
chain is delicate and compliments the pattern nicely. All links are
soldered closed for strength and durability. The focal piece on
this necklace is undoubtedly the streaky pink lampwork heart! I made
this hollow beauty with Bullseye Raspberry Creme glass...first as a
large round hollow bead, then gently coaxed the sphere into a lovely
puffy heart shape. As the hot air inside the glass hollow expands it
inflates the heart...just the right amount...like a bubble, if it gets
too big or a wall too thin it pops. The necklace measures 18" in length and closes with a sterling silver toggle clasp.
